bokselskap.no is developed by The Norwegian Literature and Language Association (Det norske språk- og litteraturselskap (NSL)) in co-operation with The National Library of Norway. The web site will secure future generations access to literature that is worthy of conservation through a library of digital books.
The web site includes, in addition to the digital books, a timeline, author biographies and introductions. We want to make the texts available for modern readers. Information about authors and literary periods are adapted to suit both pupils and students/researchers.
bokselskap.no has received financial support from Arts Council Norway (Norsk Kulturråd), The Fritt Ord Foundation (Stiftelsen Fritt Ord) and Anders Jahres Humanitære Stiftelse.
